Mike Williams placed on injured reserve by Buccaneers, per report
Tampa Bay’s season went from atrocious to worse on Monday, after it lost one of its stars for the year.

Williams suffered a torn hamstring against the Carolina Panthers on Thursday night, putting his season in jeopardy. On Monday, the Buccaneers took away any doubt out of his status, ending his season after only playing in six games.
The former Syracuse star had a mediocre year before getting injured for winless Tampa Bay. Williams had 22 catches for 216 yards and a pair of touchdowns while being the No. 2 receiver behind the highly paid Vincent Jackson. He was nowhere near his 2012 pace, when Williams missed hitting the 1,000-yard plateau by a mere four yards.
This is the first season Williams has not played in all 16 games over his four-year career. Without him, Tampa Bay will look towards Tiquan Underwood and Chris Owusu to step up and provide viable targets for rookie quarterback Mike Glennon.
