The Carolina Panthers will take on the Arizona Cardinals in a Week 5 matchup on Sunday. Arizona is sitting at 2-2 and coming off a narrow 13-10 victory over Carolina's NFC South rivals, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Carolina is coming off an early bye week, but should have some momentum after shutting out the New York Giants to the tune of 38-0 for their first win of the year.
Panthers vs. Cardinals 2013 odds: Arizona favored at home
The Arizona Cardinals are favored over the Carolina Panthers for their Week 5 matchup.

Arizona opened up as a 3-point favorite for the matchup, according to OddsShark. The Cardinals are likely getting the early nod in the betting due to their 2-2 record, but home-field advantage certainly doesn’t hurt things. Such an advantage is usually good for a three- to four-point swing in the odds. It’s also possible odds makers legitimately consider Arizona the better team, but expect Carolina to be fresh after the bye week.
The line has moved throughout the week on most books, as well. It’s generally narrowed, with the closest to even having Arizona as a 1.5-point favorite. You can also find the line in between those numbers, with some books at 1.5 points and others at two points -- so you have a choice.
The over/under for the matchup is set right around 42.5 points.
