New Orleans comes into the contest at 6-1, fresh off a trouncing of the Buffalo Bills at the Mercedes Benz Superdome. The Jets enter with a decidedly different feeling after being crushed 49-9 by the Cincinnati Bengals.
The Saints are trying to run away with the NFC South, leading over the second-place Carolin Panthers by two games, and the Jets are simply hoping to stay in the AFC playoff picture. At 4-4, they remain two games behind the New England Patriots in the AFC East but are right in the thick of the six-seed race. New York only trails the San Diego Chargers by a half-game.
