Criticism of Miami's offensive play-calling and inability to adjust will remain at the forefront following a near collapse that saw the Dolphins lead by two touchdowns before allowing the Bengals to surge back. Lamar Miller ran the ball well in the first half, and an opportunistic defense forced four turnovers, but it almost wasn't enough to counteract a sputtering offense and dead drives by both teams in overtime.
The result was just the third time an NFL game ended with a safety in overtime, the broadcast reported.
The Cincinnati Bengals turned to rookie running back Giovani Bernard on a night Dalton struggled with ball placement. He finished with Bernard finished with 79 yards rushing, including an impressive looping touchdown run that helped lead the comeback.
Injury report
Miami's offensive woes continued as guard Richie Incognito left Thursday night's game with a neck injury and did not return.
The Bengals defense was ravaged by injuries as Geno Atkins left with a knee injury and was unable to finish the game. Mike Silver reports that Atkins has a torn ACL. The lineman was joined by outside linebacker James Harrison, who injured his hand.
Giovani Bernard played an excellent game, but was forced out in the fourth quarter with a rib injury.

A.J. Green has a fantastic game, especially in PPR leagues. He finished with 11 catches for 128 yards.
Andy Dalton was a fantasy dud, turning the ball over four times while failing to throw for a touchdown.
