Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Geno Atkins suffered a knee injury during Thursday night's game against the Miami Dolphins. He appeared to take a hit to the back of the knee late in the second quarter and needed the help of teammates to get off the field.
Geno Atkins injury: Bengals DT out for game with knee injury
Geno Atkins had to be carted off to the locker room Thursday night with a knee injury. He will not return to the game.

After eventually being carted to the locker room, Atkins is officially questionable to return.
UPDATE: Atkins has been ruled out for the game, according to Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald. Reports after the game indicate Atkins suffered a torn ACL.
The loss of Atkins could be a major blow to the Bengals. The Dolphins have done a strong job of moving the ball on the ground, compiling 134 yards before halftime. After Atkins left the game, the Dolphins marched down the field and set up a one-yard Ryan Tannehill plunge into the end zone off strong running from halfback Daniel Thomas.
Atkins is arguably one of the top defensive tackles in football. This season, he already has five sacks among his 18 total stops.
