James Harrison left Thursday night's game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Miami Dolphins with a left thumb injury late in the second quarter. According to Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Inquirer, the outside linebacker is questionable to return.

James Harrison is questionable to return after sustaining a thumb injury late in the second quarter of Thursday night’s game between the Bengals and the Dolphins.


The Bengals' defense was already hurting due to the loss of Geno Atkins to a potentially serious knee injury. The Bengals' front seven has struggled against a battered Dolphins offensive line. At halftime, the Dolphins already have 142 yards rushing off 22 carries. The Bengals do have two sacks, one of which came from Atkins.
Harrison had yet to crack the stat sheet before leaving. He has been a spot contributor the Bengals this season. Through eight games, he has 16 tackles with two sacks.
At halftime, the Dolphins lead 10-3. The Bengals' offense has struggled to sustain drives. After two straight scintillating performances, quarterback Andy Dalton has not looked sharp. He is 13-for-22 passing for 121 yards and an interception.
