Update: The Jaguars announced that Joeckel will miss the rest of the season.

Jacksonville Jaguars left tackle Luke Joeckel left Sunday's game against the St. Louis Rams with a right ankle injury.

It appeared Joeckel rolled his ankle late in the first quarter on a routine block against Robert Quinn. He remained on the field for several minutes before the cart was called to take him to the locker room. He will have x-rays on the ankle and is listed as ‘doubtful’ to return.

The injury couldn't have come at a worse time for the Jaguars who traded left tackle Eugene Monroe to the Baltimore Ravens earlier this week. The team planned to move forward with the No. 2 overall pick and plan for the future, but an already shaky offensive line now has huge problems and is unable to protect their quarterback.

Things went from bad to worse for the Jaguars in St. Louis, as the Rams intercepted Blaine Gabbert on the following play, returning the ball 82 yards for a touchdown.
