Tom Brady struggling at halftime vs Bengals

The New England Patriots need a lift from their offense to stay in-step with Cincinnati.

Tom Brady is struggling in the first half of Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals, locked in a close game at halftime due to a lack of offensive support.

Brady has thrown for 90 yards on just 11/20 passing. If this holds his 4.5 yards per attempt would be his lowest since December of 2006, where he finished with 3.12 yards per attempt against the Miami Dolphins.

The problem for New England is two-fold: An inability for the offensive line to protect Brady, who has been hurried more than five times in Sunday's game while, he doesn't have effective offensive weapons to make plays. Danny Amendola is playing injured, contributing 39 yards in the first half -- but there isn't another solid weapon for the Patriots' quarterback.

New England and Cincinnati are tied at 3-3 in the first half, and it will take a huge jump by the Patriots’ receivers if they hope to stay in-step in the second half.
