The Carolina Panthers general manager is denying a report that he is looking for the next head coach of the organization, according to ESPN.com.
Panthers GM Dave Gettleman denies starting coaching search
Carolina’s general manager says Ron Rivera does not have a coaching search going on behind his back.

Dave Gettleman told ESPN that he is not trying to replace current head coach Ron Rivera, who is in his third year with the team. The 1-3 Panthers are in a tie with the Atlanta Falcons for second place in the NFC South, trailing the New Orleans Saints by three and a half games.
Rivera led Carolina to a 7-9 record last season after finishing with a four-game win streak. The late-season success has not translated to 2013, however. After losing a tough opener to the Seattle Seahawks, the Panthers then lost to the Buffalo Bills before beating the New York Giants 38-0.
Following a bye week, Carolina got waxed by the Arizona Cardinals 22-6 in a game that included three Cam Newton interceptions and nine Panthers penalties.
