The Panthers lost guard Amini Silatolu for the season with a torn ACL in their game against the Cardinals, but that was the extent of major injuries in the NFC South. The Falcons and Saints, the other two teams in action during Week 5, suffered some bumps and bruises but came out largely unscathed.
NFC South injuries, Week 5: Panthers lose G Amini Silatolu for season
A torn ACL has cost the Panthers their starting left guard, while Roddy White continues to take bumps in Atlanta.

Here’s the team-by-team breakdown of the weekend’s injuries:
While the Dirty Birds didn't suffer any major injuries during their Monday night loss to the Jets, one of their elite receivers continues to be banged up. Already gimpy on a sprained ankle, Roddy White left the game with a hamstring injury in the second half.
The Falcons also lost running back Jason Snelling, who left with a concussion and did not return. Already missing starting running back Steven Jackson, the team has struggled to move the ball on the ground and only had 64 yards against the Jets. They'll have a chance to get healthy as they head into a bye week.
Starting left guard Amini Silatolu tore his ACL in the loss to the Cardinals and is done for the season. Silatolu had overcome a rough start to the season to emerge as one the team’s lead run blockers, and will now be replaced by the inconsistent play of backup Travelle Wharton. That’s bad news for a line that allowed seven Cam Newton sacks last Sunday.
The Saints didn't suffer any major injuries last Sunday against the Bears, but did have three notable holdups who failed to suit up. Receiver Lance Moore missed his second consecutive game with a hand injury, while defensive back Roman Harper was held out with a knee issue.
Running back Mark Ingram hasn't played since Week 2 with a toe injury and his role in the Saints' offense is continuing to look as though it's shrinking. On top of the fact that he's been injury-prone and is averaging just 1.8 yards per attempt, Darren Sproles and Pierre Thomas have scored two touchdowns apiece over the last two weeks.
The Bucs got a much-need rest week as they cruised through their Week 5 bye.
