Houston Texans tight end Owen Daniels has been diagnosed with a non-displaced fibula fracture, according to ESPN's Tania Ganguli. He will be out for at least 4-6 weeks.

Daniels appeared to suffer the injury in Sunday night's blowout loss to the San Francisco 49ers, although he did not leave the game and led the team with six catches for 60 yards. His loss will be a big blow to a Texans offense that's already struggling. Daniels has been Matt Schaub's favorite checkdown target over the past few years, recording 62 catches, 716 yards and six touchdowns in 2012.
Backup Garrett Graham will be elevated to the No. 1 tight end role to replace Daniels, and Ryan Griffin is expected to be promoted from the practice squad to fill out the depth chart. John McClain of the Houston Chronicle believes that Daniels could be a candidate for the injury reserve/designated to return tag, which would keep him out until early December.
