The Houston Texans placed tight end Owen Daniels on the injury reserved with designation to return list, putting him out for at least two months, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Houston’s season continues to get tougher with Daniels out for a minimum of eight weeks.

Daniels was injured against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night during the 34-3 defeat, fracturing his fibula. The eight-year veteran was having a very nice season before going down, catching 24 passes for 252 yards and scoring three times.
In his career, Daniels has only played 16 games twice, and not once since 2008. Next to Andre Johnson, Daniels is the most relied-upon weapon for beleaguered quarterback Matt Schaub. Backup tight end Garrett Graham will be looked at to step up in the offense with Daniel being on the shelf. Graham has found ways to be productive this year, catching three touchdowns.
Houston's next game is at home against the St. Louis Rams before traveling to take on the Kansas City Chiefs.
