Houston Texans quarterback Gary Kubiak has announced that quarterback Matt Schaub will remain the starter for next week's game against the St. Louis Rams. Kubiak said that it was a "tough decision, real tough," but believes that Schaub still gives the team the best chance to win.
Matt Schaub to start in Week 6, ‘tough decision’ says Gary Kubiak
Matt Schaub will be getting the start again next week, but coach Gary Kubiak admits that it wasn’t an easy decision.

Schaub is having one of the worst seasons of his career so far. Through five games, he has thrown nine interceptions to eight touchdowns as the Texans fell to 2-3 on the season. He set an NFL record by throwing a pick-six in four straight games and was benched in last week's blowout loss to the San Francisco 49ers. On top of that, he lost tight end Owen Daniels to the injury reserve list with a fractured fibula.
T.J. Yates finished the game for Schaub last week, throwing for 15 yards on five attempts. He started for the Texans down the stretch in 2011 when Schaub got injured, but Kubiak is sticking with his veteran quarterback for now.
