Raiders vs. Giants 2013 final score: New York wins 3rd in a row despite sloppy play

The Giants turned it over three times, but the Raiders couldn’t hold onto their second half lead.

The New York Giants started the season 0-6 mostly due to being the worst team in the NFL in terms of turnovers. That didn't change on Sunday against the Raiders, with the Giants turning it over on the opening kickoff and finding themselves down 7-0 less than a minute into the game, but New York managed to comeback and beat Oakland, 24-20.

Overall, the Giants turned it over three times, with Eli Manning throwing a pick-six in the third quarter that gave the Raiders a temporary 17-14 lead. Manning rallied the offense for a touchdown before the end of the third quarter, though, and the defense held out from there.

The Raiders weren’t very careful with the football themselves, turning it over twice, including a first-quarter blocked punt that Cooper Taylor returned 21 yards for a touchdown. Oakland falls to 3-6, while the Giants improve to the same 3-6 record.

Fantasy Studs and Duds

Terrelle Pryor had 122 yards passing, one interception, one lost fumble and 19 rushing yards with a touchdown. Rashad Jennings had 88 yards in place of Darren McFadden but didn't score.

Andre Brown was a big stud for the Giants, rushing for 115 yards and a touchdown -- just what they needed after placing David Wilson in injured reserve this week. Victor Cruz had 37 yards and no touchdowns, while Hakeem Nicks had 49 yards.

Injury Report

Jason Pierre-Paul left shortly with an apparent shoulder injury but returned.

Did They Cover?
