In Week 10 of this wild NFL season, another crop of standout names have been victimized by injuries of varying severity.
NFL injuries, Week 10: Peyton Manning, Jay Cutler go down
More big names were bitten by the injury bug on Sunday, especially at the quarterback position.

For some, the injury suffered on Sunday is just the most recent in a season filled with health issues, while others are going to land on the injury report for the first time all year. The attrition has been most prevalent at quarterback, where five signal-callers went down with injuries. Let’s run down the big ones from Sunday:
Manning was hit low a couple of times by the San Diego Chargers, including on his last pass attempt. Manning stayed down after being hit in the knees, and after the game said he felt really sore. The four-time MVP will get an MRI done on Monday.
While the extent of Manning's injury is not known, he has already said he "certainly plans on playing" against the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs next Sunday.
Cutler, who was returning from a groin injury that sidelined him for three weeks, suffered an ankle injury that knocked him out for the final drive. Cutler said after the game that he does not know whether he will be able to play next week against the Baltimore Ravens.
Josh McCown took over down 21-13 and drove Chicago to a touchdown in the final seconds, only to miss on the two-point conversion. This could be a brewing quarterback controversy in the Windy City with Cutler in the final year of his contract.
Locker had to leave the game for the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, giving way to Ryan Fitzpatrick in the 29-27 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Locker injured his foot and could not return to action, although he did come back to the sidelines on crutches.
Reports have surfaced that Locker has a Lisfranc injury, which would put him out for the season. Locker has already missed three games with a hip injury, derailing what appeared to be a promising campaign for both he and the Titans.
Pryor slogged through a miserable performance against the New York Giants in a 24-20 defeat on Sunday, and in the process sprained his MCL. Pryor was 11 of 26 for 122 yards and an interception, and said postgame that his knee was sore but that he does not believe he will miss any time because of it.
Should Pryor be forced to sit out next week versus the Houston Texans, rookie backup Matt McGloin would be in line to get the start, as he is the only other quarterback on Oakland's roster.
In his first start replacing the injured Aaron Rodgers, Seneca Wallace pulled up lame in the first half with a groin injury and did not return. Rookie Scott Tolzien took over the quarterbacking duties for Wallace, but could not rally the Green Bay Packers to a victory over the Philadelphia Eagles.
Head coach Mike McCarthy has already determined that Tolzien will be the starter for Green Bay this coming week against the Giants at MetLife Stadium.
The Dallas Cowboys middle linebacker had to leave Sunday night's game against the New Orleans Saints in the first half with a cranky hamstring. Lee, the lynchpin of defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin's Cover 2 defense, was rendered helpless on the sideline as New Orleans set an NFL record with 40 first downs.
The severity of the injury is not known yet, but should Lee be out for any extended period of time, the Cowboys might be in major trouble. Lee came into the Saints game leading the team in tackles with 90, accompanied by four interceptions.
Ware returned from his quad injury versus the Saints only to aggravate it in a 49-17 defeat. Ware played a majority of the first half but sat out good portions of the second half after being in obvious pain throughout the night. Ware was mostly a spectator as the game increasingly became a laugher.
With the Cowboys headed into their bye week, Ware will have time to rest before his team sees the Giants in two weeks.
Tony Gonzalez
In the Atlanta Falcons loss to the Seattle Seahawks, tight end Tony Gonzalez was hurt with a toe injury that prevented him of playing at full speed. Gonzalez played through the pain but would not commit to anything going forward afterwards.
Altanta is already without wide receiver Julio Jones and is 2-7 on the campaign. Gonzalez has said throughout the year that this would be his last rodeo.
The San Francisco 49ers rookie safety was injured in the 10-9 defeat to the Carolina Panthers, leaving the contest with an apparent concussion. The former LSU star was injured on a tackling attempt of fullback Mike Tolbert. Reid led with his head and made helmet-to-helmet contact before falling face-first to the turf.
His status for next week is unclear.
The top Buffalo Bills wide receiver could not finish the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, forced out with a groin injury in the fourth quarter. It is unclear whether Johnson will miss any time.
