Seneca Wallace likely headed to Packers injured reserve

Wallace only played in two games before his season came to a screeching halt.

Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

Green Bay Packers quarterback Seneca Wallace is probably going to be placed on injured reserve on Tuesday, according to Jason La Canfora.

Wallace made his first start of the season last week against the Philadelphia Eagles and injured his groin while rolling out to his right. Rookie Scott Tolzien came in and finished the game and will start on Sunday against the New York Giants.

With both Aaron Rodgers and Wallace on the shelf, the Packers are working out a bevy of quarterbacks including ex-Green Bay draft pick Matt Flynn and John Skelton. The Packers already signed Flynn, who has spent time with the Oakland Raiders and Buffalo Bills this season. Skelton was with the Cincinnati Bengals and San Francisco 49ers earlier in 2013.

Rodgers is expected to be back in the next month, recovering from a broken collarbone suffered one week ago against the Chicago Bears.
