Despite the Chiefs being the only undefeated team at 9-0, the 8-1 Broncos are a 9.5-point favorite, according to OddsShark.com. For any team 9-0 or better, Kansas City is the biggest underdog in NFL history.
Certainly this speaks to people believing more in Peyton Manning and Denver's offense, which scores 41.2 points per game, than the Chiefs defense, which allows a league-best 12.3 points per game. Both teams have had very easy schedules to this point in the campaign, with neither having a win over a team currently over .500.
In two weeks, the teams will meet again at Arrowhead Stadium for another titanic AFC West showdown. Should the teams split their games, the next tiebreaker is division record, following by record against common opponents.
