Vikings vs. Seahawks 2013 picks and predictions: Seattle universally favored

The Minnesota Vikings are traveling to face the Seattle Seahawks and the 12th man in a game nobody believes they can win.

The game on Sunday between the Vikings and Seahawks is arguably the NFL's most lopsided matchup of the weekend. Christian Ponder is back at quarterback for Minnesota, but will be facing one of the league's best defenses. Meanwhile, the Vikings are tasked with stopping Russell Wilson, which has been almost impossible in 2013.

ESPN represents a common theme among experts. Everyone is picking the Seahawks to win. It’s a testament to how dangerous this Seattle team can be, and just how much the Vikings are struggling at quarterback.

The song remains the same over at CBS Sports, where all eight analysts believe Seattle will extend its lead in the NFC West. Take human error out of the equation and it’s still pegged to be a Seahawks win, with CBS’s prediction machine also siding with the home team.

Here at SB Nation, there's no need to take the path less traveled. All six analysts are projecting a Seattle victory. It will be interesting to see if Adrian Peterson can make a dent in the Seahawks defense. He remains the one wild card in Sunday's game, but there's not a lot of hope.

Ryan Van Bibber elaborated on why he thinks Seattle will win on Sunday.

Oh, look, Percy Harvin returns just in time to play against his old team. That's the top line for coverage around this game, but it's hardly the same Vikings team Harvin played for last year, partly because of Harvin's absence ... but only partly.

The pick: Seahawks
