Chiefs vs. Broncos posts highest November ratings for NFL in 17 years

Over 25 million viewers tuned in to watch the Broncos knock off the undefeated Chiefs on “Sunday Night Football.”

Over 25 million viewers tuned in to watch the Denver Broncos hand the division rival Kansas City Chiefs their first loss of the 2013 season on NBC's Sunday Night Football, the highest rating the league has seen in the month of November in 17 years, according to Randy Covitz of the Kansas City Star.

The record audience watched as Peyton Manning and the Broncos scored more points against the Chiefs defense than any other team this year, gouging the secondary for 323 passing yards and taking the lead in the AFC West with a 27-17 win.

The game scored a 9.1 rating among adults between the ages of 18 and 49, a 30 percent increase over last week's game between the Cowboys and Saints, which saw New Orleans dominate during a lopsided 49-17 win.

According to numbers adjusted for time zones, the game drew a rating of 16.6, tied for the second-highest Sunday Night Football game of the season.
