The Minnesota Vikings are going through a brutal season, and it has gotten even tougher with starting cornerback Josh Robinson breaking his sternum in the 41-20 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.
Josh Robinson injury: Vikings CB out 1 month with fractured sternum
Minnesota takes another hit to its already battered secondary.

Robinson will miss at least a month, so any setbacks will likely put him on the shelf until 2014. Robinson is only the latest member of the Minnesota secondary to be struck down by injury. Every starter has at least missed a little time due to injury, partially explaining why the Vikings rank 29th in opponents passing yards per game at 280.1.
Robinson has been productive this season, making 58 tackles, ranking third on the team behind only Erin Henderson and Chad Greenway. He is also tied for the team lead with four passes defensed.
However, there is evidence pointing to Robinson being a lackluster player, per the Daily Norseman:
According to PFF, Josh Robinson has been one of the worst cornerbacks in the entire league, grading very negatively. His backup, Marcus Sherels has done extremely well in relief, and we've yet to have a CB rotation of Cook/Rhodes on the outside with Sherels in the slot. And if the grades are to be believed, this would be our best possible combination of corners. It would appear we'll get to see that next week against Green Bay.
Rookie Xavier Rhodes will likely replace Robinson as he recovers from the injury. Rhodes was a first round pick in April, a highly-thought of corner out of Florida State University. He has 35 tackles on the year.
