Matt McGloin will start his second game for the Oakland Raiders this Sunday against the Tennessee Titans, according to the Raiders' official Twitter account.
Matt McGloin named Oakland starter vs. Tennessee
The Raiders have announced McGloin will be the team’s starter in Week 12.

McGloin took over for an injured Terrelle Pryor in Week 11 and played extremely well, completing 56 percent of his passes and throwing three touchdowns in the team's win over the Houston Texans. He was signed as an undrafted free agent prior to the season, and quickly won over coaches who elected to part ways with Matt Flynn and keep McGloin on the roster.
The switch at quarterback could foreshadow a larger shift at the position. Reports out of Oakland indicate that Pryor returned to practice Wednesday, but head coach Dennis Allen still elected to stay with the rookie quarterback. Pryor has cooled down after a promising start to the season, throwing eight interceptions and just one touchdown over the last four weeks.
It’s unclear what the long-term answer at quarterback will be for Oakland, but another promising start by McGloin could begin to solve the problem.
