Update: ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Cox will sign with the Seahawks pending a physical, and that injured cornerback Brandon Browner could be placed on the season-ending injured reserve.

Seattle is bringing in a cornerback for a visit, potentially shaking up the secondary.

The Seattle Seahawks are bringing in cornerback Perrish Cox for a visit, according to Ian Rapoport.
Cox, 26, has bounced around the league somewhat in his three-year career. The youngster began his time in the NFL with the Denver Broncos in 2010 before sitting out 2011 while facing multiple sexual assault charges. In March of 2012, Cox was cleared of any wrongdoing and caught on with the San Francisco 49ers. This season, Cox only has two tackles to his credit.
Seattle is in need of some help on the back end with cornerback Brandon Browner on the shelf for at least a month with a groin injury, causing major concern about the secondary's depth going into December. However, the bigger issue appears to be Browner being on the verge of a one-year suspension for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy.
Walter Thurmond is also facing a four-game suspension because of a violation of the league's program for non-PED substances.
Another thought to replace these men is the return of veteran Antoine Winfield. The 36-year-old was with Seattle in training camp before announcing his “retirement.” It appears Winfield still wants to play and would be a viable option for the Seahawks in nickel and dime packages.
