Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak is expected to make his return to the sideline sooner rather than later after a health scare on Sunday night, as John McClain of the Houston Chronicle reports Kubiak has been cleared to return to his home and is expected to rejoin the team in Week 11.

The Houston Texans head coach reportedly suffered a “mini-stroke,” but is only expected to miss one game before re-joining the team.

Kubiak, 52, suffered what is being called a “mini-stroke” by doctors, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, as he was jogging off the field to the locker room at halftime. The eighth-year head coach collapsed to the ground and was eventually taken off the field on a stretcher.
With an impending return in Week 11, Kubiak is expected to miss the team's Week 10 road-trip to play the Arizona Cardinals. Former Broncos, Bills and Cowboys head coach Wade Phillips is expected to take over as the team's interim head coach in Kubiak's absence.
Kubiak was a backup quarterback for the Denver Broncos behind John Elway for nine seasons, starting in five career games for the team. After his playing career, he coached for Texas A&M, the San Francisco 49ers and the Broncos before he was hired as the head coach of the Texans in 2006.
