San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree can begin practicing in short order if he feels up to it after tearing his Achilles tendon six months ago, according to the Sacramento Bee.
Michael Crabtree injury: 49ers WR can begin practice soon
San Fran could be getting some help soon with its best receiver on the mend.

Crabtree has been out the entire season while rehabbing, being on the Physically Unable to Perform List. Come Nov. 19, Crabtree can begin practicing, and the team has three weeks from that day to activate him or he is automatically lost for the season.
Without Crabtree, the 49ers receivers have been a mess. Outside of Anquan Boldin who has 551 yards, no other receiver has even 110 yards. Colin Kaepernick has also had his problems, completing 57.1 percent of his passes while tossing only nine touchdown passes against five interceptions.
Last year, Crabtree gained 1,105 yards on 85 receptions and nine touchdowns. Crabtree’s yardage and reception totals more than doubled the next best total on the team.
