After MRI results revealed this past week that immediate surgery was not needed, Shorts stated that he felt he could attempt to play the final three games of the season.
The third-year receiver leads the Jaguars with 66 receptions for 777 yards and three touchdowns. Shorts broke out in his sophomore season, averaging 17.8 yards per catch to go along with seven touchdowns on the year. Shorts has been fighting the groin injury for the majority of the season and has been limited in his downfield effectiveness at times, yet remains a legitimate possession receiver even with the injury.
