Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Cecil Shorts will not play on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Cecil Shorts injury: Jaguars WR ruled out vs. Bills
The Jaguars receiver will not be able to play on Sunday because of a nagging groin injury.

Shorts was listed as questionable heading into the weekend with a groin injury that will require offseason surgery, but was going to attempt to test his leg prior to Sunday’s game to determine if he could play. After MRI results revealed this past week that immediate surgery was not needed, Shorts stated that he felt he could attempt to play the final three games of the season.
The third-year receiver leads the Jaguars with 66 receptions for 777 yards and three touchdowns. Shorts broke out in his sophomore season, averaging 17.8 yards per catch to go along with seven touchdowns on the year. Shorts has been fighting the groin injury for the majority of the season and has been limited in his downfield effectiveness at times, yet remains a legitimate possession receiver even with the injury.
