Texans vs. Colts 2013 picks and predictions: Indianapolis a heavy favorite
Few NFL experts are giving the Texans much of a chance this week on the road against Indianapolis.

At the beginning of the season, many expected the Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans to battle for the AFC South. Houston was coming off back-to-back division titles while the Colts returned to the playoffs in 2012. On paper, their Week 15 matchup in Indianapolis looked like it might be a head-to-head battle for the division title. Instead, the game on Sunday may have a bigger impact on the NFL Draft order than the playoff standings.
At 2-11 the Texans currently own the worst record in the NFL. They’ve lost 11 straight games and fired head coach Gary Kubiak last week. Indianapolis’ season has gone better, even with recent issues, and the Colts are currently 8-5. Indianapolis is likely out of the running for a first-round bye and has already clinched the division title. The rest of the regular season won’t do much beyond impact which team the Colts face in the first round of the playoffs.
Regardless of the implications, most NFL experts predicted Indianapolis to come away with the win. Five of SB Nation’s six NFL experts picked the Colts with only Ryan Van Bibber picking Houston.

Other NFL experts agree. Seven of the eight CBS Sports NFL analysts also picked Indianapolis. Only Jason La Canfora picked the Texans to win. A few expect a close game. Against a 6.5-point spread, three of the eight picked the Texans.
Despite the records, the two teams played a tight game earlier this season. Houston led 21-3 at one point, but the Colts scored 21 unanswered points to win 27-24 in Houston.
