NFL odds and lines, Ravens vs. Lions 2013: Detroit favored by a score despite recent skid

The Lions have lost three of their last four, but are still six-point favorites at home on Monday Night Football.

A pair of teams in tight playoff races square off on Monday Night Football as the Detroit Lions attempt to bolster their slim lead in the NFC North when they host on a Baltimore Ravens team with a tenuous grasp on the last AFC wild card at Ford Field

The two teams are both 7-6, but their identical records are tinted with differing shades of optimism. The Ravens have won four of their last five, including three consecutive wins over the Jets, Steelers and Vikings. The Lions, on the other hand, are losers of three of their last four. They dropped a critical game against the Eagles in Week 14 and are locked in a tight battle with the Bears for the division title.

Oddsmakers are looking past the antithetical trends of the teams and have Detroit favored by six points at home, where they are 4-2 this year. After bungling through impossibly snowy conditions in Philadelphia last week, the pass-happy Lions offense will be relieved to return to their dome over Ford Field. Led by Calvin Johnson, the Lions rank third in the league in passing offense with 297 yards per game.

Baltimore boasts the ninth best defense in the league and will look to hold the Lions under their season average of 26.6 points per game. The over/under has been set at 48.
