Arizona will be looking for their seventh win in their last eight games as they travel to face the Tennessee Titans. The Cardinals are generally favored to get the victory, but not everyone is convinced.
NFL picks and predictions, Cardinals vs. Titans 2013: Arizona favored to win, stay in wild card chase
Arizona needs a win to keep there wild card hopes alive and the experts seem to think they’ll get it against the Titans.
The Titans remain mathematically alive for a playoff spot at 5-8, but they've lost two straight games and have been poor at home this season. With quarterback Jake Locker out for the season, Tennessee could use a big performance from running back Chris Johnson. The only problem with that plan is that the Cardinals' stingy run defense is third best in the NFL in yards per game allowed.
The Cardinals sit one game back of both the Panthers and the 49ers in the wild card race, and while they have the tiebreaker against Carolina, San Francisco holds the tiebreaker over them. Carson Palmer continues to play through pain in his right elbow, but you'd hardly know it after his 269-yard, one-touchdown performance against St. Louis last weekend.
SB Nation’s experts give a slight edge to the Cardinals with Ryan Van Bibber, Joel Thorman, Jason Chilton and Matt Ufford all picking Arizona. Stephen White and David Fucillo think the Titans can damage the Cardinals playoff hopes with a win at home.
The experts over at CBS Sports seems more convince about Arizona’s chances with just one writer picking Tennessee.
