Larry Fitzgerald suffers concussion vs. Titans

Fitzgerald was injured during an onside kick late in regulation and his availability moving forward is unknown.

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald did indeed suffer a concussion late in the game against Tennessee Titans, ESPN.com's John Weinfuss has confirmed.

Fitzgerald, who missed the overtime period of the Cardinals’ 37-34 win, suffered the injury while attempting to field an onside kick at the end of regulation. The star wideout went high to grab a bouncing ball and was hammered by Tennessee’s Jackie Battle, knocking the ball out of his grasp and concussing him. The Titans recovered the kick and went on to force overtime with a late touchdown.

Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians did not provide an update on Fitzgerald after the game. Details about his availability for the remaining two games of the season will likely be addressed during the coach’s weekly press conference on Monday.

Fitzgerald became the youngest player to top 11,000 career receiving yards on Sunday. He is now 29th on the all-time receiving list and No. 5 among active players (Tony Gonzalez, who passed the 15,000-yard mark on Sunday, is the active leader).
