Lions not getting any help from referees vs. Ravens in Week 15
Complaining about the refs is usually silly, but the Lions just aren’t getting the calls on “Monday Night Football.”
A questionable pass interference call and then a personal foul call for a hit to the "head/neck area" on the Lions secondary led to six points for the Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football, but when it came time for the referees to call pass interference on the Ravens, they swallowed their whistles.
With the Lions down by five points and driving toward the end zone in the third quarter, quarterback Matthew Stafford threw a perfect pass to Kris Durham. But before Durham could haul it in, Ravens cornerback Lardarius Webb tugged on his arm just enough to prevent the touchdown.
Have a look for yourself, but it’s a pretty textbook case of the armbar, which should be a prompt PI flag:

The referees decided not to call pass interference, setting up fourth-and-9 for the Lions. A field goal brought the score to 12-10 Ravens, but the missed opportunity for a touchdown still loomed large. It was in stark contrast to the first-half grumbles when Detroit was flagged after a corner's feet got caught up with a Baltimore receiver, and then a personal foul whistle on Louis Delmas for a high hit on a pass to Marlon Brown that had no chance.
With a division title on the line, the Lions are fighting to overcome a tough Ravens team and some poor officiating. The locals at Ford Field are quite restless.
