The hit was a nasty one, but Flacco appears to have avoided serious injury. The Ravens orthopedic doctors examined Flacco, who had ample time to recover while the Lions put together a go-ahead touchdown drive. He returned to the field the very next series, which was a crucial one for the Ravens.
Injury aside, Flacco was having a forgettable night in Detroit. Before the hit, he hadn’t thrown a touchdown as Baltimore repeatedly settled for Tucker field goals. He also hadn’t accumulated 200 yards passsing.
