Two weeks remain in the 2013 regular season and as the sun begins to set on the year we’re still seeing some excellent plays from players desperate to find a back door into the playoffs.
NFL plays of the week: Catches, shoves and tested reflexes
Week 15 is in the books and we have a full slate of amazing plays.

Lordy, Jordy
The Green Bay Packers got some help from the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, but it's important not to overlook the contribution Jordy Nelson made in Week 15. He didn't pop off the box score, however he broke out in GIF form.
This is one of those “I want it more” plays that the league thrives on. It’s a jump ball, there’s no real reason why the Cowboys defender couldn’t have pushed for an interception -- but here we are.
Nelson’s second clip needs no explanation, it’s ridiculous.
Get out of here you stinkin’ Raider!
It's beautiful and pure. This Kansas City Chiefs fan is standing tall in the black hole and he will not stand for any member of the home team celebrating in his general vicinity.
The best part about this clip is how pushing him out of the stands isn’t enough. He gives a figurative air shove to show his disdain before giving one extra for good measure. It didn’t even matter that the Chiefs fan was sitting next to Mr. and Mrs. Raider-Claus, he was having none of it.
Alshon Jeffery, clearly too slow for the NFL
I normally don’t use “filthy” as a positive adjective, but this catch is filthy. It’s hard to tell when Alshon Jeffery first high points the football, but it’s evident that he had a split second to locate the ball, turn his body and make the catch.
Jeffery is between two defenders, and still has the body control to find the end zone. All this from a player once believed to be a potential draft bust.
Steven Jackson’s still got it
Standout moments for Steven Jackson have been few and far between in 2013. He was supposed to be the missing piece in the Falcons offense, but the season collapsed and it's unclear what the future is for the Atlanta running back.
For one glorious moment on Sunday he decimated Josh Wilson on the goal line. All the defensive back could do was stand tall, wait for the hit and hope it didn't send him halfway across the end zone -- he was wrong.
Not the play of the week: LACES OUT DAN
The strangest part of a physical is getting hit with the small rubber hammer. I presume it’s an attempt to measure one’s circulation, but this oddly-shaped tool is always bubblegum colored and its sole purpose is to hit a knee.
This play is like getting that test. It's hard to tell in slow motion, but it takes entirely too long for Brandon Fields to realize the ball has hit him in the face. Maybe that's a little tough. I'm not sure how I'd react. I guess he did the best he could.
