Still clinging to slim playoff hopes, the Jets suffered another loss on Sunday. They dropped a road game to the Carolina Panthers, 30-20, but managed to make bettors happy. The Jets were 10-point underdogs and covered the spread exactly. New York fell to 6-8 in the standings and are now 7-6-1 against the spread. Another loss would eliminate them from playoff contention.
The Browns haven't been in the playoff hunt in weeks, just playing for pride at this point. They lost their fifth straight game last week, falling to the Chicago Bears, 38-31. The Browns were one-point underdogs and failed to cover. They move to 4-10 on the season and 6-8 against the spread.
