Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews has been taken to the locker room with a hand injury and is questionable to return to a critical game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Clay Matthews injury: Packers LB re-injures hand against Steelers
Matthews has been taken to the locker room favoring his right hand and will not return.

UPDATE: Matthews has been ruled out with a thumb injury.
Matthews came away favoring his right hand after sacking Ben Roethlisberger during the second quarter. He fractured his thumb on that hand against the Lions in Week 5, an injury that cost him almost five games. He's worn an array of casts and braces on the hand since returning in early November.
Matthews will remember the sack of Roethlisberger for more than just the injury. The play gave him his 50th career sack.
The Pro Bowler is a critical cog in the Packers' defense, and they'll need him if they're going to finish off their late-season playoff push and catch the Bears in the NFC North. He has 40 tackles with 7½ sacks and three forced fumbles in 11 games this season.
