Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson isn't feeling great these days.
Adrian Peterson injury: Vikings RB hasn’t felt healthy for 5-6 weeks
Minnesota’s brightest star says he has been in pain for well over a month.

The All-Pro back coming off a 2,000-yard season is foot and groin injuries, and has been for over a month, according to ESPN.com. Peterson was pulled from Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals in the process of a 42-14 defeat, dropping the Vikings to 4-10-1 on the season.
Afterward, Peterson expressed his frustration toward the poor play of his team and more importantly, his current condition. Per the story:
“We got down early, and he pulled me out,” Peterson said. “I didn’t like it, but when you think about it, being down 28 points, is the risk really worth it? I just accepted it for what it was.”
Peterson then continued:
“It’s been a good minute (since I felt completely healthy) -- probably five or six weeks,” Peterson said. “I don’t feel like I played with as much confidence as I would like. I was kind of hesitant on some runs. Mentally, I’m there. I’m in tune. My body is just not responding the way I want it to right now.”
This year, Peterson has still been one of the best backs in the NFL despite having Christian Ponder, Matt Cassel and Josh Freeman as his quarterbacks. The former first round draft pick out of Oklahoma has gained 1,266 yards on the ground and scored 10 touchdowns.
It’s unclear whether or not Peterson will play in the season finale for Minnesota, who was eliminated from the playoffs long ago.
