Week 16 was unkind to the NFC East, in particular the Dallas Cowboys who will need to lean on Kyle Orton to win the division.

Tony Romo has been lost for the season with a back injury. It leaves the Cowboys in a serious predicament, needing to lean on their depth in an attempt to beat the surging Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football. It was going to be a test with Romo at quarterback; now it's unclear if the task is possible.

Orton made his last start three years ago for the Kansas City Chiefs. He struggled against the Denver Broncos in that start, completing 51.7-percent of his passes for 180 yards in a low-scoring 7-3 loss.

The Washington Redskins and Philadelphia Eagles both escaped the week without any serious injuries. They will be at full strength to close out the season.

New York was hit hard on offense, giving the injury-wracked Giants more problems in Week 17. Running back Andre Brown sustained a concussion against the Detroit Lions, forcing the team to turn to Michael Cox. There is no further update on his status at this time.

The offense was hit with further injuries to guard Brandon Mosley and tight end Adrien Robinson, who sustained a broken hand and leg injury respectively. There is no update on their status, but it's safe to assume Mosley will miss Week 17.
