Case Keenum is inactive, Matt Schaub will start for Texans

Schaub will start for the second week in a row when Houston plays Tennessee.

The Houston Texans will return to their old starting quarterback, as Case Keenum is inactive for the season finale, Teresa Walker is reporting.

That means Matt Schaub will start for the second straight week, after not starting for the team since mid-October. He has struggled with turnovers this season, throwing 10 touchdowns against 12 interceptions in seven starts. The Texans have the worst record in the NFL, and Schaub is having his worst season since his last as a backup -- with Atlanta in 2006.

Keenum, a rookie out of Houston, was a surprise starter for the team in Week 7, and threw for seven touchdowns against zero interceptions in his first three weeks. He leveled off a bit after that and finishes his rookie year with 1,760 yards passing, averaging 6.96 yards per attempt with nine touchdowns against six interceptions, and zero wins in eight starts for the hapless Texans.
