2013 NFL combine results: Wide receiver 40-yard dash times and more

The wide receiver workouts at the NFL combine are complete. As usual, there were some impressive numbers while a couple of players may have hurt their draft stock.

Every year, wide receivers prove to be among the best athletes at the NFL Scouting Combine and 2013 was no different.

From fast 40-yard dash times to impressive vertical and broad jumps, wide receiver prospects showed off their athleticism in Indianapolis. It wasn’t all positive, however, as some prospects posted disappointing numbers and may have hurt their draft stock.

Texas’s Marquise Goodwin led all wide receivers in the 40-yard dash with a time of 4.27 seconds. He was 0.07 seconds faster than any other wide receiver. Including Goodwin, five wide receivers ran their 40-yard dash in less than 4.40 seconds. Tennessee’s Cordarrelle Patterson has risen up draft rankings and his 4.42 40-yard dash will only help his stock. South Carolina’s Ace Sanders measured as the smallest wide receiver at the combine and ran a disappointing 4.58.

Tennessee’s Justin Hunter proved to be one of the best athletes at the combine. He clocked in at 4.44 in the 40-yard dash and posted the longest broad jump among wide receivers at 11’6. Hunter also tied for the best vertical jump among receivers, jumping 39.5”.

Cobi Hamilton didn't test very well as the wide receiver from Arkansas posted the lowest vertical and broad jumps. His vertical jump of 29.5" was more than two inches shorter than anyone else while his broad jump of 8'7" was the shortest by six inches.

Here is a closer look at the complete wide receiver results from the 2013 NFL combine.
