Go 2 touchdowns up in the Super Bowl, or try a fake field goal? YOLO!

Up 14-3 in the Super Bowl, John Harbaugh elected to try a fake field goal. It was gutsy, and it didn’t work out.

John Harbaugh is a former special teams coach, a big brother to the man he's facing off against today, and he gives absolutely no craps. His Baltimore Ravens had a field goal attempt to go ahead of the San Francisco 49ers by two touchdowns in the Super Bowl, and instead opted to try a fake field goal. It didn't end well. Justin Tucker got absolutely creamed by Darcel McBath.

The late pursuit and big hit by McBeth was fantastic, but Patrick Willis deserves some credit as well. He didn't let his blocker push him back and forced Tucker to cut back into the big hit.

Also, Harbaugh's decision-making was justified during the ensuing 49ers possession, even if the fake wasn't successful. His defense forced the Niners into a three-and-out, and the Ravens got the ball back with excellent field position after Andy Lee punted from the edge of his own end zone.
