Nate Washington trade rumors: Titans shopping WR
Tennessee reportedly has put its leading receiver in 2012 on the market.
Washington led the Titans with 746 receiving yards in 2012 on 46 catches. He was tied with three others for the team lead in receiving touchdowns, with four. Washington was also Tennessee’s biggest deep threat; his 14 catches for 20 yards or more was not only most on the team, he was the only player to hit double-figures in the category.
Out of Tiffin University, his career in the NFL began with the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he played for three seasons. In the offseason prior to the 2009 campaign, Washington inked a six-year, $26.8 million contract with the Titans. He is set to make $4.2 million in 2013.
2011 was the best season of his career, with 74 receptions for 1,023 yards and seven touchdowns. Washington has not missed a regular-season game in his seven-year career.
