The San Francisco 49ers got even stronger on defense, as they signed defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey on Wednesday, according to Adam Schefter.
Glenn Dorsey signs with San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers made their defense even stronger with the addition of DT Glenn Dorsey.

Dorsey was the No. 5 overall pick of the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2008 NFL Draft, and although he never turned into a superstar, he is a solid player who will help improve the depth on the 49ers defensive line. Dorsey was limited to four games in 2012, hampered by a pair of calf injuries.
Drafted as a defensive tackle, Dorsey was moved to defensive end when the Chiefs changed to a 3-4 defense. His best statistical season came back in 2010, when he totaled 51 tackles and two sacks.
The Chiefs were trying to work out a deal to resign Dorsey, despite him not living up to his draft status, but the 49ers swooped in to grab Dorsey in a free agent market with a limited supply of interior linemen. Jim Harbaugh and the 49ers coaches have a way of getting the best out of their talent, and at 27, Dorsey could find his best years are ahead of him.
