New York Giants defensive tackle Shaun Rogers was the victim of a burglary while staying at the Fontainebleau in Miami Beach, according to CBS Miami. Rogers said that he brought a woman back to his room from Club Liv, returning to the hotel around 7 p.m. ET, but that when he woke up at noon, the woman and a safe full of valuables were gone.
Shaun Rogers robbed, missing $500K in jewelry
New York Giants defensive tackle Shaun Rogers was robbed in Florida, and reports about $500,000 worth of jewelry is missing.

According to the piece, Rogers reported about $500,000 in missing jewelry, including two wristwatches worth a combined $160,000 (because you can never have enough time), diamond earrings worth $100,000 (because they’re forever), a gold necklace with a gold pendant worth $50,000 (because gold on gold is the best), gold bracelets worth $60,000 (for when he doesn’t need to tell the time) and a diamond necklace with a gold pendant worth $70,000.
It probably doesn’t need to be stated, but that’s a serious amount of bling for one man to be carrying around with him, especially to a hotel. One would have to assume that each piece of jewelry went precisely with something else in Rogers’ wardrobe, but it’s still quite a lot. Also, we now have confirmation that Rogers parties hard enough to wake up at noon.
The police, of course, have been notified and Rogers will try and recover his stolen property.
Rogers missed all of the 2012 season due to a blood clot in his leg. He was on injured reserve for the whole season and turns 34 years old in April. That said, he re-signed with the Giants this offseason, so the team obviously has him in their plans going forward.
