The Miami Dolphins are still making moves in free agency, and now have their eyes set on adding cornerback Brent Grimes, CBSSports.com's Jason La Canfora reported on Wednesday.
NFL free agency rumors: Dolphins reportedly ‘very much’ in the running for Brent Grimes
It sounds like Miami may want the former Falcon to join their secondary.

Grimes, as La Canfora notes, was franchise tagged for the 2012 campaign by the Atlanta Falcons but suffered a season-ending Achilles injury in Week 1 against the Kansas City Chiefs. Atlanta's interest in bringing back the 2010 Pro Bowler has been hard gauge, but the Dolphins, assuming he's fully recovered, sure could use his playmaking talents.
Allowing 248.4 passing yards per game, Miami ranked 27th in the NFL last season, as quarterbacks completed 58.8 percent of their throws against the Dolphins' defense. They also lost cornerback Sean Smith in free agency to the Chiefs, leaving a void in the secondary.
Grimes piled up 12 interceptions from 2009-11 with the Falcons, playing in all 16 games in the first of those two campaigns before being limited to 12 in 2011. Out of Shippensburg University, Grimes went undrafted in 2006 and played a stint in NFL Europe for the Hamburg Sea Devils before beginning to make his name in Atlanta a year later.
