NFL March Madness: The Final 4

The fourth round of voting in NFL March Madness is complete and only four touchdowns remain. Which two will advance into the finals and battle for the NFL March Madness championship?

There wasn’t much suspense in the Elite 8 of the NFL March Madness touchdown tournament, as four touchdowns rolled to easy victories. The remaining bracket should set up for an interesting Final Four as we get closer to deciding the best offensive touchdown of the 2012 NFL season.

Adrian Peterson entered the Elite 8 with three touchdowns still in the running but after a Peterson vs. Peterson matchup and a slight upset, only one Peterson touchdown remains. Running backs continue to do well as three of the remaining four touchdowns came on runs. Andrew Hawkins' array of juke moves is the only non-running back left. Final Four voting will open today and remain open until Thursday at 8 p.m. ET.

Here’s a look at the two Final Four matchups.

Matchup No. 1

(1) Adrian Peterson Abuses The Packers vs.

(3) Andrew Hawkins Gets Shifty With It

Vote Now

Throughout the voting, Peterson’s touchdown against Green Bay has been among the biggest vote-getters. That proved to be true once again in the Elite 8 -- Peterson’s Green Bay touchdown rolled by his score against Tampa Bay. It shouldn’t be much of a surprise that Peterson’s touchdown is still alive, as it was one of the most impressive plays of the season. SB Nation’s Christopher Gates said the play was too good for words to do it justice. It’s also safe to say the Daily Norseman community enjoyed the run, here’s a sampling of the response after it happened.

The run was apparently good enough to make Jimbobb mess in his shorts, so how can it not advance?

Hawkins didn't make anyone mess their pants (that we know of, anyway) but his touchdown against the Browns proved to be good enough to reach the Final Four. Josh Kirkendall of Cincy Jungle called it "one of the more amazing touchdown receptions we'll ever see." The Cincinnati fans obviously enjoyed the score, the Cleveland fans? Well, not so much. Here is a sampling of Browns fans' reaction.

Matchup No. 2

(2) Doug Martin Muscle Hamsters Past Atlanta vs.

(8) Jamaal Charles Is Still Really Fast

Vote Now

Martin collected 73 percent of the vote in his Elite 8 matchup against Adrian Peterson, advancing with ease. Martin showed off a lot of skills in this run with his speed, power and agility all on display. The fact it came against a division foe in Atlanta made it even sweeter for the members of Bucs Nation. Here’s some of the reactions following the play.

A No. 8 seed advancing to the Final Four is impressive, but Jamaal Charles is no ordinary No. 8 seed. With support from Arrowhead Pride in full effect, Charles steamrolled Dez Bryant in the Elite 8. With 676 out of the 703 votes in his favor, Charles proved he was woefully under-seeded. Here is what the reaction looked like following the touchdown.
