New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis resumed running on the football field and will report to the team's offseason workout program on Monday, according to a report from Rich Cimini of ESPNNewYork.com on Thursday.
Darrelle Revis resumes running ahead of Jets’ offseason workouts
The Jets corner is back running on the field following knee surgery and will be with the Jets for offseason workouts next week.
Revis, still rehabbing in Arizona from knee surgery after tearing his ACL in September, would reportedly lose bonuses totaling $3 million if he doesn't show up for 80 percent of New York's offseason workouts. He has been the talk of a whirlwind of trade rumors, primarily between the Jets and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and, as Cimini notes, would prefer to continue rehabbing in Arizona and likely would if he didn't stand to lose bonus money.
Here’s a video from the NFL Network documenting Revis’s journey back following knee surgery. Revis will reportedly spend two weeks in New York working out with the team and continuing his rehabilitation process.
