New York Jets fan and Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin is a little upset with his team right now. Why? He is not a fan of the trade that sent cornerback Darrelle Revis to Tampa Bay.
George R.R. Martin does not approve of Darrelle Revis trade
John Idzik has made a very powerful enemy, one with dragons!

It is hard to be a fan of the New York Jets.
They have a pretty good defense and a godawful offense, so what’s their big offseason move? “Hey, let’s get rid of our best player, bring the D down to the same level as the O.”
The Jets, in short, got rooked. Congrats, Tampa Bay GM, you drank our milkshake.
A number of Jets fans who did not write best selling novels agreed with Martin. The milkshake reference, from There Will Be Blood, makes this pretty much the best hot sports blog take on the Revis deal that you’re going to read.
Martins doesn’t stop by condemning the deal. He has some advice for the Jets.
And what about the new Jets GM? Fire his ass now. Bring back Mike Tannenbaum. Bring back the guy before Mike Tannenbaum. Hell, bring back Harry Wismer.
Ouch.
If John Idzik, the new GM, were a GoT character, he would probably be one of the people getting gored by some awful ancient weapon, which is also pretty much everybody in the series. I’ve not read the books, so I’ll leave it to you, noble internet commenters, to make the necessary GoT associations below.
