Darrelle Revis expected to report to Jets’ workouts on Monday

Despite being at the center of trade rumors, Darrelle Revis is expected to report to the New York Jets’ offseason workouts on Monday.

Injured New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis is expected to report to New York's offseason workouts on Monday despite being involved in trade rumors, according to NFL.com's Albert Breer.

By reporting to offseason workouts, Revis is eligible to collect roster bonuses worth up to $3 million. In order to collect all $3 million, Revis must participate in 80 percent of offseason workouts, according to Jason La Canfora.

Revis is still rehabbing a torn ACL suffered early last season and is entering the final year of his contract with the Jets. Since it's unlikely that the rebuilding Jets will re-sign Revis, new Jets general manager John Idzik is taking offers for the All-Pro cornerback. New York's likely trade partner remains the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Tampa Bay holds the No. 13 overall pick of the 2013 NFL Draft, and the Jets reportedly want the Buccaneers’ first-round pick in any Revis trade.

Acquiring Revis would complete Tampa Bay's much-needed overhaul in the defensive backfield. Last season, Tampa Bay ranked No. 1 against the run, but No. 32 against the pass. The Buccaneers already signed former San Francisco 49ers safety Dashon Goldson and adding Revis would likely give Tampa Bay one of the best all-around defenses in the NFL.

Drafted out of Pittsburgh with the No. 14 overall pick in the 2007 NFL Draft, Revis has spent his entire professional career with the Jets -- but it’s increasingly likely that Revis has already played his last game with the Jets.
