There’s no offseason in the National Football League, and next week’s NFL Draft tends to be one of the busiest parts of the year.
2013 NFL Draft trade rumors: Darrelle Revis could be dealt next week
Here’s the latest on Revis, Brandon Albert and what the Cardinals may be planning to do with their seventh pick.

There have been plenty of trade rumors swirling in the past few hours. Could a couple of big name players be on the move before draft day?
Darrelle Revis has seemingly been on the trade block all offseason. According to a report from Tony Pauline of Draft Insider, a source tells him there's a 75 percent chance Revis is traded within the week. Pauline does not list any potential suitors or teams currently looking to work out a deal, although it seems the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are very interested, assuming his surgically-repaired knee is progressing the way it should.
The reported asking price for Revis is very high, though, and the Bucs may not be ready to turn over the draft picks and money needed to secure the veteran cornerback’s services.
Another player possibly on the move is Kansas City Chiefs veteran left tackle Brandon Albert. With the Chiefs expected to draft either Luke Joeckel or Eric Fisher, the Miami Dolphins have requested permission to speak with Albert and work out a possible new deal.
On the surface, Albert would make a lot of sense in Miami. He’s proven and durable, starting 71 games the last five years. He would also likely only cost a low second-round pick. The only issue here is that Albert wants a big contract extension, and the Dolphins may not be ready to commit yet another longterm deal out this offseason.
With Miami having no other options to protect quarterback Ryan Tannehill, this seems like a solid rumored deal for both teams. Tannehill gets someone to protect his backside, and the Chiefs add yet another high draft pick as they rebuild their roster.
Another rumor that's been picking up steam in recent days is the Arizona Cardinals considering a move up to select an offensive tackle, presumably whoever isn't taken No. 1 overall between Luke Joeckel and Eric Fisher.
If they don't move up from the seventh pick, Alabama's D.J. Fluker could be the pick. The Cardinals could benefit from adding an offensive playmaker or young quarterback to build around, but with so few quality players available this high in the first round, it seems likely they'll add someone to protect Carson Palmer's blindside.
The first round of the 2013 NFL Draft is Thursday.
