The Tennessee Titans selected Alabama guard Chance Warmack with the 10th overall pick. Considered one of the best guard prospects in years, it was a minor surprise that Jonathan Cooper went ahead of Warmack, but the Titans end up with a major upgrade to their interior line. He will pair with Andy Levitre to form one of the top guard duos in the league.
2013 NFL Draft results: Titans get big upgrade in Chance Warmack
The Titans filled a major hole on the interior of their line with Chance Warmack.
SB Nation’s Titans blog Music City Miracles seems pretty happy with the pick. Here’s the take from Jimmy Morris:
We have been asking for years for the Titans to upgrade the interior of the offensive line. They have finally done that. Fernando Velasco has solidified the center position. They signed Andy Levitre to play one guard, and now they have drafted the best player in the draft in Chance Warmack. He is a starter from day one, and he gives them the mauler they have wanted inside.
They are giving Jake Locker everything he needs to succeed. Now it is on him to take it to the next level.
